Visit to Yellowstone National Park, June 24-26, 2013

Nairn and Carol at the Gate.

The bison were out with their calves.

The elk were out with their calves.

Walking one of the paths to an overview of the falls we saw this fallen tree with a rock stuck in the roots Carol gives an idea of the size.

Here we are at the Lower Falls in the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.

The elk were beautiful and close.

And tasted very good.  Here we are eating elk Pizza.

The deer were not scared of the people,

At the top of Uncle Tom's trail.  This trail leads to the bottom of the Lower Falls.

Carol on the stairs on Uncle Tom's Trail.  Part of the 328 steps leading to the observation platform for the Lower Falls.

What visit would be complete without seeing Old Faithful?

And of course we had to have Huckleberry ice cream at the Yellowstone Lodge.
