January is Alcohol and Drug Awareness Month in Barbados.
If you look closely at the top of the picture on the lower right you can see Elder and Sister Moore. President Sampson the District President for the Barbados District of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was one of the speakers. He is on the left in the picture on the center left. The kick off was held in the Christ Church chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
This was the article in the paper for the kick off for the Drug and Alcohol Awareness Month.
We have a puppet show that teaches about the dangers of drug and alcohol use. It was presented at the Library in Bridgetown.
Part of the pre-show antics by the sister missionaries.
Sister Hyde, Sister Shelton, Sister Wilson, Sister Hendricks.
Is this what the missionary of the future will look like?
The above was all while we were waiting for the real audience to arrive. It was quite entertaining. Especially when they sang "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" and realized they had no knees or toes! A real sad song for puppets. They changed the song to "Head, Shoulder, Eyes and Nose".
The real audience has arrived. Doesn't Sister Moore look really entertained. She is paying rapt attention to the show.
The alcoholic, the liver, Super Brain, Mr. Alcohol.
The cast of characters.
Left to right: the Head Librarian, Elder Hendry, Sister Hendricks, Elder Pohl, Elder Wilson, Elder Hale, Sister Hyde, Sister Shelton, Elder Shariatmadari. Elder Babb is hiding and Sister Wilson was the narrator.
