Out for a drive in Barbados

Just another one of those days when a timeout was needed.

 

Chattel house.

Another chattel house.  This one is not as nice as the other one.

Barbados Green Monkey.  We saw this one at Sam Lord's Castle.  Sam Lord's Castle is a ruin, it burnt in a fire, it was a hotel after Sam Lord died.  Sam Hall Lord was a notorious buccaneer.  The castle was built in 1820. 

This base of a windmill has been turned into a nice observation tower.  It is on private land so we could only get a picture.

 

While we were out we went to Codrington College.

The main building.

The drip stone.  Water was put in at the top and passed through the coral vessel that can be seen in the interior.  This process was used to purify the water.

Just had to take this picture.  It is of the latrine.  Well, even then it was needed.
